The Blade of Grass

The approaching daylight hid within its glorious folds
Consummate trauma for the lonely blade of grass,
Having sown its dreams of everlasting togetherness
In the soothing embrace of the innocent dew,
To have its castle of hopes razed callously
For no apparent reason but the whim of the glaring Sun!
Who could tell the blade of grass otherwise?
